Welding Consumable detail

SOLID WIRE :

Precision-drawn copper-coated solid wires for MIG and TIG applications. Brands: Stelio and Aceon.

Mild Steel (MS) —

  • Stelio 70 Series — standard tensile strength for everyday structural and fabrication welding

  • Stelio 80, 90, 100 Series — higher tensile grades for demanding, high-strength applications

Stainless Steel (SS) — Stelio (200, 300 & 400 Series) For MIG and TIG welding of stainless steel components requiring corrosion resistance.

Aluminium (Al) —

  • ER4043 — Silicon-aluminium wire; excellent fluidity, low cracking sensitivity. Ideal for castings, brackets, and 6xxx series base metals.

  • ER5356 — Magnesium-aluminium wire; higher tensile strength, good ductility. Preferred for structural frames and 5xxx series. Suitable for post-weld anodizing.

  • ER5183 — Highest strength grade; recommended for marine, heavy structural, and 5083-grade applications.

FLUX CORED WIRE :

Gas-shielded flux cored wires for high-deposition, all-position welding. Superior arc stability, deep penetration, and low spatter. Brands: Hyundai and Aceon.

Mild Steel (MS) Many products available including E71T1-C — CO₂-shielded wire for single and multi-pass welding on mild steel and high-tensile steel. Smooth arc, easy slag removal, excellent feedability.

Stainless Steel (SS)

  • Hyundai SW308L — for 304/304L stainless; low carbon prevents sensitization, excellent corrosion resistance

  • Hyundai SW309L — for 309L stainless and dissimilar metal joints (SS to carbon/low-alloy steel); also used as buffer layer for cladding

  • Aceon 308, 309, 316 — standard SS grades for fabrication, pressure vessels, and chemical plant applications

Hard Facing (HF)

  • Hyundai 60H — moderate wear and impact resistance

  • Hyundai 700H — severe abrasion and high-hardness applications

SAW WIRE

High-deposition submerged arc welding wires for heavy industry — pressure vessels, boilers, structural steel, bridges, and storage tanks. Brands: Aceon and Hyundai. Multiple grades available including but not limited to:

  • EL8 — Low Mn/Si wire for mild steel structures. Excellent bead finish and slag detachability.

  • EM12K — Tolerates rust and mill scale; most widely used SAW wire for single and multi-pass butt/fillet welds on mild and low-alloy steel.

  • EA2 — For low-alloy high-strength steel where higher tensile requirements apply.

Available in drum packs and SAW wire spools.

SAW FLUX

Agglomerated fluxes ensuring slag detachability, clean bead finish, and consistent metallurgical properties. Brand: Aceon (Metaflux). Both acidic and basic grades available.

  • Acidic — Better bead appearance, higher travel speeds, excellent slag removal. Preferred where surface finish matters.

  • Basic — Better impact toughness and weld metal integrity. Preferred for pressure vessels, structural work, and low-temperature service.
